Workaholics love the changing of the months. The new energy they get when they can turn to a fresh calendar page and organize their appointments, assignments, and social activities for the coming weeks could power a rocket to Mars. We in the astrological community, however, get that feeling from the changing of the zodiac seasons. Throughout the calendar year, the sun moves “through” the twelve constellations of the zodiac, and spends about a month in each. This is how astrologers have determined that if you’re born between a certain date range you have a certain Sun sign. The month-long period that encompasses all of the birth dates for each sign is known as that sign’s season. In other words, during Aries season (March 21 - April 19), the sun is moving “through” the zodiac constellation of Aries, and all of your Aries friends will celebrate their birthdays!
ABOUT ARIES SEASON
Happy new year! Aries season marks the first season of the astrological new year, and you should be celebrating and charging head first at all of your new ideas. Aries is a fire sign, and fire sign seasons bring confidence, direction, power, decisions, and excitement. We are embarking out on a new adventure, taking a first step, moving confidently in the direction of our dreams, etc.
The astrological new year aligns with the spring equinox - think birth, rebirth, blooming, and thriving. We are burying the cold and harsh winter and embracing a transformation into new life. Enter into this season with confidence, boldness, and not-giving-a-fuck-ness. While some seasons ask us to slow down, Aries season begs us to act and engage. We are making moves this season, and nothing can stop us.
Fiery Aries is fueled by independence, movement, competition, and impulse. Welcome to March Madness, baby! As we moved through Pisces season, closing off our loose ends, reflecting on our decisions and choices, and allowing ourselves to experience emotional catharsis, we purged the burdens of the past. Now we are free of what has haunted us, and able to make moves into the next chapter of our lives. Enjoy the fast-paced, unhindered side of yourself. Feel confidence you may not normally be in control of. Get up and go. Like the ram, we must connect with the headstrong, committed, bold part of ourselves. This is a season of going and running and choosing and living. Run with the ram, sprint into new beginnings, and set yourself up for a year of YOU.
